Food is delicious. Service is very attentive. Place is clean. The food is served very promptly. Portions are very generous. I come here every Sunday since the past month . Will continue to come. It’s vibe is like an American Diner feel love it!

This has been a place that I have visited with my family for some time now. there is so many great breakfast and lunch options, and I'm not even touching on the amazing ice cream they have here. The service is great and the atmosphere is amazing. I'm glad that the velvet grill has been part of Modesto for so long

Me and my wife truly love this place! The food is amazing and the staff are always extremely kind. Service is too notch and food is always prompt to the table. Their ice cream is the best in town!

Dont ever order a patty melt , I had a bad experience, the bread was burnt also the meat , I will never go back

Wonderful food, great service, and very clean. So nice to still be able to go inside and sit down and eat a great meal. Plus the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and the desserts they give you.

We love eating here. The staff is friendly and they have the best oatmeal buttermilk pancakes period. Also amazing French toast.I've tried at least 15 different meals on their menu and everything is good. Overall this place is good simple tasty food.

Classic diner fare, the staff is absolutely great and remembers it's regular visitors. All of the waitresses greet you with a smile and bubbly attitude. I love this place, it's in of the more endearing features of Modesto. The food is mostly classic diner offerings, and I have not eaten anything yet that has tasted bad. The restaurant is well kept and has TVs with food Network normally playing.

It has the atmosphere of a diner and great customer service! I always order their in-house baked french toast, which never disappoints.
